Wonderful Review of Eco Tour in Antigua: “Awesome Excursion”

This great review came in with several others recently. The reviews have been great for Adventure Antigua in 2012 with one exception. The person felt that the tour wasn’t as luxurious as they had expected and felt that the Excellence would have been a better trip. I guess some people don’t do that much research before booking because we never suggest that our tours are luxurious. We could easily do luxurious tours and have many luxurious private charters, but we wouldn’t suggest that anyone does the “Xtreme Circumnav” if they are looking for luxury, music, dancing and liquor all day. This person was on the wrong tour. Needless to say the three our of five star review was a very rare “bad” one and the others have been more consistent with this amazing review below of our Eco Tour taken from Tripadvisor. We took the Eco tour on 5/14. What a wonderful introduction to the lovely island of Antigua. Ross was our captain and Jordain and Nicola the crew. We had great weather and a great group on our boat. Nicola was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the tour, from the birds to the turtles to the hotels to the mangroves. Ross also was informative and made the trip fun with his local history lessons, as well as knowledge of current events in Antigua. During our snorkeling stop he even dove down and brought up 8 or 10 conch shells for us to see up close.

I’m not a strong swimmer and was a little afraid to get off the boat at Hell’s Gate. Ross reassured me and Jordain even swam back to the boat and escorted me to the beach there. I didn’t make the hike but enjoyed the “jacuzzi” and lovely water. Lunch on the boat was great and the rum punch was awesome!

I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves the water and loves learning about what they are looking at. If we visit Antigua again, we will definitely take this tour again. Thanks Ross, Nicola and Jordain for a wonderful day and great memories.
